DownloadAOS 3.1 is now available!
Development update (11/19/21):
Although releases are a bit slow, development has continued behind the scenes. With the release of Slackware RC2, we draw closer to a super stable base upon which to build AllegianceOS. Many changes are being worked on - mostly in relation to the dropping of mainstream toolkit dependencies (namely GTK) for in-house apps. The package installer is being rewritten in Go, and updates will be handled by it as well!
Note: due to (the many) changes with GTK3/4, some features such as desktop configuration options will be dropped in the XFCE version of AOS. This is due to their enforcement of Client-Side-Decorations (CSD) which overrides the xfwm4 window manager themes - effectively destroying the "point" of a customized XFCE desktop. It is sad to see this feature go but this is what happens when other developers try to decide for everyone how to 'move forward'..
Lots to be done! Hopefully a Plasma AOS release in the future!
